Obituary for Stanley Bundy

Stanley Bundy
Hooper resident Stanley James Bundy, 84, passed away peacefully October 7, 2017 at the Rio Grande Inn Nursing Home in La Jara.

Stanley was born in St. George, Utah on December 3, 1932, the proud son of Omer Bundy and Rowena Whitmore Bundy.

He worked for many years in construction and held various positions. Stanley was an avid mountain man and lived for the outdoors. He spent many hours in the mountains fishing, hunting and exploring. Stanley and his favorite dog Buster liked driving around and exploring the countryside. There was rarely a road that he didn’t take just to see where it ended up. He loved his grandchildren dearly and supported them in their endeavors.

Stanley is survived by his children Tammy (Dave) Panek, Sharon (Dan) Warwick and Patrick Hamilton; his grandchildren Tyler Hamilton, Nolan Eller, Matthew (Jacque) Hamilton, and Ricky Reininger; his brothers and sisters: Glendon (Holly) Bundy, Dean (Bonny) Bundy, Sr., Rey Bundy, Adell Doerr, Doloras (Virgil) Bice and Reena (John) Parks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughters Denise Reininger and Teresa Bundy; his brothers and sisters Ellen, Nora, Emer and Richard; and best friend Richard Wobith.

Cremation was chosen and private services will be held at a later date.
