Shawn Ray  Salazar
Shawn Ray Salazar, 41, passed away on June 10, 2017. He was born on April 7, 1976 in Alamosa, Colorado to Walter and Patricia Salazar. Shawn enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He liked working on cars and appreciated lowriders. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his son.

He is survived by his son, Shawn Salazar, Jr. of Arvada, Colorado, his brother Joey (Rebecca) Salazar of Antonito, step-brothers, David Salazar and Nick Salazar, his uncles and aunts, Lionel (Vicky) Salazar, Harold (Lillian) Salazar, Orlando (Vivian) Salazar, Louisa Ulibarri and Marcella Salazar, his nieces and nephews, Uriah Salazar, Julia Salazar, Jerome Salazar, K-Lynne Salazar, Sierra Salazar and Arianna Salazar as well as the mother of his son LaNelle Montoya and many extended family and friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin Jessica Navares.

Cremation was selected and a Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the small chapel at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa, CO. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 23, 2017 also at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
