Obituary for Sandy Angela Alfaro (Baroz)

Sandy Angela Baroz Alfaro was born June 10th, 1964, in Romeo, CO to Joe & Sylvia Baroz. After a yearlong courageous battle with cancer, she was called home by our Heavenly Father on November 1, 2021 where she was surrounded by her loved ones.

Sandy never knew a stranger, but if there was a stranger in her path, she made them her friend. Sandy was a kind, loving person that was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Sandy enjoyed Bingo, going to the casino, camping, spending time with her family and friends and watching her Novelas. Sandy also loved serving The Lord, through her ministry with the youth of her parish and in her jail ministry as well as also being an active member of The Legion of Mary.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Robert Alfaro and grandson Nathanial Alfaro Holman. Sandy will be greatly missed by her children: Marc Alfaro and Analisa Alfaro of La Jara, parents: Joe & Sylvia Baroz of La Jara, sisters: Connie Medina, Grace (Ever) Ojeda of La Jara, Pam (Alfred) Fresquez of Alamosa. Her brothers: Joseph (Kimberly) Baroz & Alifonso Baroz of La Jara and Damian (Tineel) Baroz of Alamosa and all of her nieces and nephews who she adored. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Martha (Diana) Alfaro of Amarillo, TX.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 8th from 6 pm until the Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Our Lady of the Valley Church in La Jara. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 10am at Our Lady of the Valley Church. Committal services will follow the funeral mass in the New Conejos Los Cerritos Cemetery in Manassa.

Masks are required for all attendees.
