Obituary for Samuel George Burris
Sam Burris, 84, passed away at home on Monday February 24, 2020. He was born on the 12th of December in 1935 to George and Helen (White) Burris. Sam was a beloved man. He was fond of all things that went fast, if it had wheels and a motor, he had a talent for it.
Sam is survived by his significant other Shirley; children Kenda Burris of Colorado Springs, CO, Charlie Burris of Phoenix, AZ, Brenda (Steve) Ehardt of Colorado Springs, CO; stepchildren Bryan (Jill) Sims of Denver, CO and Jim (Sylvia) Evans of Alamosa, CO; sisters Phyllis Worden of Cheyenne, WY and Shirley June Josephs of Alamosa, CO; nephew Steve (Donna) Burris of Mosca, CO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Helen; his brother Kenneth; and his former wives Carol and Virginia.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday February 28th, 2020 at the Alamosa Cemetery at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family would ask you to make contributions to Hospice Del Valle which can be sent to the Funeral Home.
