Roy was a man of Catholic faith. Roy was a proud American and proud to have served in the United States Air Force! Golf was his passion. He enjoyed playing golf with everybody! He always looked forward to playing in the Tuesday night golf league and the Alex Kahler tournament. He could always be found in the garage working on his and his friends’ golf clubs and golf carts. Roy was also a longtime member of the Elks. If you had ever had a conversation with Roy you would always receive a piece of advice at the end of the conversation. He always had good stories to share and easily made new friends. Roy loved fishing, playing the guitar, singing, drawing, playing cards, doing mechanic work, being outdoors, listening and dancing to Spanish music, bowling, helping others, and he enjoyed taking care of his 3 tomato plants that are on his porch. Above all else, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Sanchez, children Debbie Dorney (Steve Bender) of Denver, Colorado, Michelle (JP) Sanchez of Pueblo, Colorado and Roy P Sanchez Jr. of Alamosa, Colorado.
