Obituary for Robert "Bob" Lanier

Robert (Bob) Joseph Lanier

Bob was a lifelong resident of Alamosa, Co. He was born July 1, 1958 to James W. Lanier & Glenn Mildred Lanier. Bob passed away on February 9, 2024, unexpectedly.

Bob was a skilled Craftsman. He and his brothers Ed & Herb worked together for many years, both in construction and roofing. They also worked together at the Alamosa Mushroom Farm.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman, hiking almost all 14ers in Colorado, and skillfully fished virtually every lake and river in the San Luis Valley.

Bob had a Kind Spirit. His brother Jim recalls that whenever he needed help on a home project, Bob was always the first to volunteer.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters Alyene, Betty, Barbara, and Norma Jean and brothers Ed, Herb, David and Albert. Bob is survived by Sister Linda McAvoy, Idaho, and brother Jim (Rose), Littleton Co.

Cremation was chosen and there will be a graveside service at the Alamosa Cemetery, Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
