Obituary for Robert Hof



Longtime Alamosa resident Robert John Hof, 76, passed away on May 22, 2022. He was born on November 7, 1945 in Alamosa, Colorado to Clarence and Nella (De Boer) Hof. Robert honorably served in the United States Army, during Vietnam from 1965 until 1967. Robert owned and operated Valley Lock and Security in Alamosa and serving the surrounding areas for many years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monte Vista and he truly loved the Lord. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and had a heart for giving to others when they needed help. He also enjoyed fishing and working outdoors on his farm.

Robert is survived by his children, Carri (William) Rael of Corrales, New Mexico, Dawn Hof of Corrales, New Mexico and Lisa (David) Obal of Hereford, Arizona as well as ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Ann (Gerald) Hoolesma of Rudyard, Michigan, Claire (Bill) Heersink of Ogden, Utah, and David (Connie) Hof of Pueblo as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Sarah (Jack) Johnson, Ivan (Becky) Hof and Arthur (Maryann) Hof.
