Obituary for Randy Burl Dutton

Randy Burl  Dutton
Alamosa resident Randy Burl Dutton, 63, died January 16, 2016 at his home in Alamosa.

Randy’s life began on August 21, 1952 in Littlefield, Texas, he was the proud son of Thomas Leonard and Virginia Mae Edgin Dutton. He met Ramona Wood and they were united in marriage in Taos, New Mexico on August 23, 1973. They enjoyed more than 42 years together.

Randy followed the footsteps of his father and many of his cousins and was a hard working Diesel Mechanic, working mostly on John Deere Tractors. He worked in this trade for more than 30 years.

Randy loved spending time with his family. He especially cherished the many camping and fishing trips with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed woodworking and shared that love through the many projects he created for his family and friends.

Randy is survived by his mother Virginia Mae Dutton of Hawley, TX; his wife Ramona Dutton of Alamosa; his children Randena (Gabe) Hicks of Castle Rock, CO, Robert (Sandy) Dutton of Alamosa, Ryan (Meghan) Dutton of Sandy, UT, Roy Dutton of Alamosa, Resa (Tadd) Ormond of Logan, UT and Ronna (Ed) Granillo of Alamosa; his grandchildren Charles, Michelle, Bennett, Brycen, Ethan, Bailey, Harley, Wyatt, Wren, Romey, Freija, Rylynn, Beckett, Everett, Daunte’, Destiny and Devin; his sisters Lynette Clark of Hawley, TX and Judy Haefeli of Monte Vista, CO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father Leonard and his sister Joyce Haddock.

Visitations will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa and Wednesday, January 20th from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society Room at the Church. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Alamosa Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 927 Weber Dr., in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
