Obituary for Randi Lou Espinoza (Bodley)

Longtime San Luis Valley resident Randi Lou Espinoza, 60, died March 10, 2021 at the Penrose St Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Randi Lou was born in Hermosa Beach, California on July 3, 1960. She was the proud daughter of Delbert Lee Bodley and Felicita Julia Naranjo. In her younger years, she was affectionately known as her nickname “Dimples”.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She had a very loving, caring personalty and was a strong woman that provided for her children’s needs and more. Over the years she helped many of her children’s friends and was called “Mama Randi” by many. Randi worked for more than 15 years for the Alamosa School District driving her bus. She loved her job and working with all the kids and co-workers. She had a powerful impact on so many lives.

Randi loved the beach and spending time in the sun. She also enjoyed watching movies and had a soft spot for Ice Cream.

She is survived by her children Elydia Espinoza-Bailon of Alamosa, CO, Mario Espinoza of Grand Junction, CO, Joseph Espinoza of Columbus, OH, and Elyssa Espinoza of Fort Collins, CO; her granddaughters Davaya and A’nayaa Bailon; as well as her sisters Roxanne (Ronnie) Cortz of Menifee, CA and Renae (Mike Feldt) Bodley of Creswell, OR; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family and friends.

Randi is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ray Bodley and numerous extended family members.

A Visitation will be held at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 pm, followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place 10:00 am Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Interment will follow in the Alamosa Cemetery.
