Obituary for Peggy Jo Lucero
Antonito resident Peggy Jo Lucero, 58, passed away July 7, 2017 at the SLV Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, Colo. Peggy was born May 8, 1959 in Alamosa, Colo the daughter of Jose G. Martinez and Marie E. Martinez. She was united in marriage to Ernest Lucero on April 19, 1978 in Alamosa.
Peggy was a great daughter, wife, mother, and Nana who enjoyed listening and dancing to every song.
Survivors include her father Jose G. Martinez of Antonito, Colo; two daughters Jolene (Joe) Candelaria of
Antonito, Colo and Judy Lucero (Brian Romero) of Antonito, Colo; 7 grandchildren Jose Candelaria III, Stacy Candelaria, Tiana Romero, Ernest Candelaria, Brianna Romero, Janeil's Candelaria and Emilio Romero all of Antonito, Colo.
Peggy was preceeded in death by her mother Marie Martinez, her husband Ernest Lucero, brother Stanley Martinez, sister Debbie Arelleno, and niece Stacy Arelleno.
Cremation has been chosen and a service will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fox Creek Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fox Creek Colorado.
