Obituary for Morris Lee "Mo" Hamilton
Longtime La Jara resident Morris “Mo” Hamilton, 69 died May 6, 2021 at the Rio Grande Inn nursing home in La Jara.
Mo was born in Denver, Colorado on December 22, 1951 to Hugh Archie and Vera (Guthrie) Hamilton.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and spent many hours tying flies, leatherworking and making knives. He was a very talented welder and could make anything with his hands.
Mo is survived by his children Jessica Hamilton of La Jara, Yvette (Eric) O’Brien of La Jara, Brittany Lamendola of Taos, NM and Bron Hamilton of Everette, WA; seven siblings; his grandchildren Amanda Vance, Justin O’Brien, Nicole Lamendola, and Benjamin Lamendola, as well as numerous extending family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Kyle Vance, and his biological parents.
Cremation was chosen and a Graveside Services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sanford Cemetery.
