Obituary for Martha Brady

Martha Cornum Brady passed away on Friday May 26th, 2017 in Littleton, Colorado. Martha was born on May 8, 1918 in Sanford, Colorado to Sidney Lysander Cornum and Queen Naomi Faucett.

Martha was survived by her brother Alger Cornum and 3 of her 4 children, Donald Ray Brady (Linda), Dorothy Louise Runyan, and Carol Anne Larson (Craig). Her son Robert Nyle Brady (Glenda, deceased) and husband Nyle C. Brady are previously deceased. She also left behind 23 grand-children, 90 great grand-children, and 20 great, great grand-children.

Martha was a beloved woman to everyone she associated with due to her genteel and refined nature. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was especially noted for her kindness and unselfish example. Martha was a very organized and hard-working woman. These qualities, along with her leadership skills, brought many opportunities as she served both in the community and in her church assignments.

The majority of Martha’s married life was spent in Ithaca, New York but she was also a world traveler having visited China, India, and many other Asian countries. She lived in the Philippines for 8 years as an International Director’s wife, entertaining world dignitaries on a regular basis. After returning to Washington, D.C. for 10 years, Martha found retirement a welcome treat in Arizona and New Mexico, eventually coming full circle to live out her final years in Littleton, Colorado.

Martha will be dearly missed but we know that she will find joy in the next life as she is reunited with her loving husband Nyle, and other family members.
