Obituary for Luther Leroy Espinoza

Luther Leroy Espinoza 64 passed away July 14, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, CO surrounded by his loving family.
Luther was born on August 21, 1949 to Eluterio and Estrella Espinoza in Amalia, New Mexico. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his service he worked and later retired from the railroad as a heavy equipment operator. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eluterio Espinoza and Estrella Espinoza, two brothers, Jerry Dean and Clarence Espinoza, sister Evelyn Vigil and his goddaughter Angela Daisy Espinoza.
Survivors include his brothers Eddie Espinoza (Delores) and family Steve Espinoza (Alex) sister Vera Vigil (Jerry) and son Jeremy and Tammy brother in law Frank Leroy Vigil. His children Jerry Dean Espinoza, Leroy Matthew (Andrea) Espinoza, Andrew Joseph (Sara) Espinoza, Julia Estrella Espinoza, Krissy Nicole Morine, goddaughter Joey Krystal (Mike) Boese. Godson’s, Joseph Belloc, Dustin Montoya and Leroy Martinez. Grandchildren include Josephine Espinoza, George Espinoza, Anthony Jaramillo, Aadriana Jaramillo, Emma Espinoza, Andrew Espinoza Jr., Evander Espinoza, Ryan Espinoza, Jannelle Aguilar, Genna Aguilar, Victoria Pacheco, Tyler, Nicholas and Brandon Kester and Shawnacy Martinez and numerous nieces’ nephews, and family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Garland. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday July 18, 2014 also at the church. Inurnment of ashes will follow services in the Amalia, New Mexico cemetery.
