Obituary for Lora Lane

It is with great sadness, we share the unexpected passing of Lora (Djuric) Lane on August 9, 2020. Lora was born in Monte Vista on October 4, 1956 to Zivan and Elli Djuric.

Lora leaves behind Dennis, her loving husband of 47 years; her sons Corey (Kristin) Lane of Mosca, Brandon Lane of Monte Vista, the sunshine of her life, her grandchildren, Bohdi, Bella, Logan and Connor Lane, her brothers, John (Caryl) Djuric of The Villages, Florida, Earl (Eugenia) Djuric of Pueblo, Colorado; her sisters; Marie (Ron) Bray, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Sylvia (Steve) Hanson of Walsenburg, Colorado, her nephews; Nick Hanson, Luke (Sharon) Hanson all of Colorado Springs, niece, Kalysta (Rob) Djuric-Upton of Pueblo, many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces across the country; sister-in-law, Jennifer Lane of Alamosa, Lora’s lifelong friend, Nora Martinez and many more friends she met along the way.

Lora enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, gambling, camping, stopping at yard sales and hanging out visiting with family and friends. She worked for Bill McClure in Center and was soon looking forward to her and Dennis’ retirement years together; camping trips with the family; enjoying their new home; the reaps of their labor building their beautiful landscape and watching their grandchildren grow up to further enjoy great grandchildren.

She looked after everyone with her heartfelt intentions and then succumbed to her loving heart one last time. We believe that Lora arrived into the spiritual world having already sent us “a sign” to let us know.

Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday August 21, 2020 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
