Obituary

Lewis Harvey Stockham AKA “THE HARV” 64 years old, Born Aug 2, 1955, a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as an Intelligence Specialist, died at his home surrounded by his close family members on Aug 29, 2019. He was an Alamosa, Co native.

He is preceded in death by his late wife Bobbi Stockham, Parents- Lewis E. Stockham & Juanita Valdez Stockham, sisters- Connie Garcia & Sandra Cortez, and Great Granddaughter- Shaliah Guodace.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his true soulmate- Joyce Archuleta, his children he loved so dearly- Chellie (Clyde) Kirschenman, Ashley Stockham, Tammy (Brandon) Mizokami, Thomas Martinez, Granddaughters- Kaydence Hart, Shawna Chavez, Marissa Kirschenman, Alexa Schuster, Demi Mizokami, Grandsons- Jadon Hart, Enrique Mestas, Avery Stockham, Victor Solis, Mason Mizokami, and Kobe Mizokami, great Grandson-Reyin Guodace all of Alamosa, Co, sister-Delsey Manual of California, Brother-Jake Meastas of California, brother-in-law Benji Cortez of Alamosa, close extended family members-Evelyn Stockham and Tim Morfin of Alamosa, CO., Jennifer Moudry of Colorado Springs, Veronica (Joe) Bonney of Pueblo, CO., Albert Nathan (Lanora) Archuleta of California, Adam (Samantha) Archuleta of Denver, CO., a special niece/god daughter Amber Cortez of Alamosa, Co. who was also by his side till his last breath, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and special friends, along with his two dogs Rosa & Karlo, and grand- dog Tulo.

The Harv was a true Denver Broncos’ fan, loved hot rods and deeply loved cruising his jeep. He enjoyed fishing, shooting his guns, taking long drives across every back road in the valley, listening to music (oldies and Spanish being his favorite), taveling, and watching & attending Nascar races. He loved hanging out with family & friends, and always found himself being the “life of the party”. He never missed a holiday or special event. Harvey worked for K-Mart as a Shoe Manager for 19 years. After the store closed its door he moved on to driving for Schwans and Fedex where he stole the hearts and became close friends with many of his customers. He had a passion for helping his fellow veterans and became a volunteer driver for the VA. He was also a proud member of the American Legion here in Alamosa. His presence touched the lives of many people with his charm, kind, heart, funny jokes, and humble smile. He will be dearly missed by all of us.

Funeral Services are scheduled as follows: Rosary will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in Alamosa on Thursday Sept 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will also be held at Sacred Heart Church on Friday Sept 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. A burial at Alamosa Cemetery will follow.
