Obituary for Laura Jane David Pereza Weaver



Laura Jane David Pereza Weaver passed away peacefully, at her home in Moffat, on May 25, 2022. Laura was born on February 23, 1963 in Long Beach, CA to Dana Fackrell and Dennis David. Laura grew up in Southern California where she remained until she met the love of her life, Sam Weaver.

Laura and Sam were united in marriage on October 19, 1997 at the Rito Alto church. Laura and Sam made their home in Moffat, Colorado. Laura and Sam were later sealed for all time and eternity at the Albuquerque, NM Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on November 13, 2009.

Laura never met a stranger and was loved dearly by all those who knew her. Laura loved animals and devoted her life to rescuing and caring for animals. She loved taking pictures of sunsets, sunrises and old buildings. Laura was an amazing cook and loved baking.

Laura was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved her Center Branch family.
Laura will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Sam of the family home in Moffat, her mom and dad, Dana and Eric Stephen Pereza of Ft. Garland, CO, sister Janet Berg of Reno NV, half-sisters Mary and Elizabeth of California, father-in-law Richard Weaver of Moffat, brothers in law Sid and Kenny Weaver of Moffat, sisters in law Carolyn (David) Faucette of Sanford, CO and Becky (Kevin) Neese of Bancroft, ID as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Laura was proceeded in death by her father, Dennis David.
