Obituary for Kevin Christopher Tonso

Kevin C. Tonso, 50-years old, a resident of Alamosa, Colorado passed into our Lord’s light on October 19th, 2019. A lifetime resident of the San Luis Valley, Kevin was born on November 5th, 1968 in Del Norte, Colorado to James J. and Sandra Tonso, long-time residents of Center, Colorado and Rio Verde, Arizona.

Kevin attended Center and Sargent elementary schools and was a graduate of Sargent High School where he was an active member of the band and a member of the golf team. Kevin had many friends in high school and enjoyed being involved in activities, sports and music.

Kevin earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Front Range Community College as well as a certificate in website design at Trinidad State College. He put his education to work in the offices at Canon Potato Company and most recently was a volunteer at Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative; a role he thoroughly enjoyed.

Kevin was an avid sports fan, rooting for and following his favorite MLB and NFL teams – especially the Rockies and the Broncos. He would spend his weekends with a line-up of games to watch and scores to follow with team statistics in hand to share with his family.
