Kevin Glen Buhr, 40, passed away on December 15, 2019 at his home in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He was born on July 18, 1979 in Denver, Colorado to Larry Anthony and Shirley Ann (Crowther) Buhr. Kevin was raised in La Jara, Colorado and graduated from Centauri High School. After graduation he attended Pickens Technical College and then worked at Marks Outdoor Sports. He went to lineman school in Grand Junction, Colorado and did his apprentice at Mountain View Electric in Colorado Springs, Colorado and journeyman at Xcel Energy in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Kevin loved Grand Junction and especially “The Mesa”. He loved the outdoors, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, camping, hunting and especially fishing. His family and friends were very important to him, but his best friend was his white lab “Buster”.
He is preceded in death by two baby sisters, his grandfather’s Edward Anthony Buhr and Norman Glen Crowther, his grandmother’s Lela Virginia Lentz Buhr and Irene Buhr.
He is survived by his grandmother Colleen Crowther of Sanford, Colorado, his parents Larry and Shirley Buhr of La Jara, Colorado, his brother Jared (Lynnette) Buhr, his nephews and nieces Rady, Rhett, Jordyn, Jessica of Tooele, Utah and Kelsi Buhr of Hotchkiss, Colorado.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in La Jara. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. prior to the service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday. Interment will follow at the Sanford Cemetery.
