Obituary for Kathryn Adrennia Cooper

Kathryn Adrennia Smith Cooper passed away February 2, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born July 6, 1933 at the home of her grandparents in Lake George, Colorado to William P. Smith and Elizabeth Hammer Smith Benatti. She graduated from Fairplay High School in 1951, and married Oral Cooper on March 3, 1951, in Raton, NM. In later years, she volunteered at Tu Casa, Hospice del Valle, The Valley Food CO-OP, the Colorado Welcome Center, the churches she attended, and for several years was an officer with the Alamosa Senior Citizens. She sold Avon for 30 years and received several prizes for her sales efforts and received many awards. Kathryn never knew a stranger. She knew many people and assumed her children should know them as well. She and her husband loved to dance and were known for how well they danced together.
