Obituary for Joshua Allen Jones

Joshua Allen Jones (Josh) passed away on August 21, 2022. He was born in Alamosa Colorado on July 15, 1995 to James Alan and Jennifer Kay Jones. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Josh graduated high school in June 2014 then attended Trinidad State Junior College where he received his Welding Certificate.

Josh absolutely loved spending time with family and friends. He loved listening to music. Family was very important to him. He could always make you laugh. He loved telling jokes from the time he was little. He taught himself to juggle and would perform magic tricks for the family. He bought is brother James and his nephew Jaydin their first magic sets. Josh was a prankster, like his sister Jacque. Josh would leave you with a smile on your face. And he never parted ways without a hug and without saying I love you. He ended every phone conversation with the words “I Love You”.

He enjoyed collecting rocks, crystals and coins. He had an eye for antiques and enjoyed researching and learning about the history behind them. He enjoyed reading about ancient history. He was a deep thinker and enjoyed debating different theories about the world. He would spend many hours in the mountains camping and fishing. Nature was a healing place for him.

Josh was always excited to learn how to do new things. He had a brilliant mind and was a fast learner and a hard worker. He liked to use his hands to build. When he was young, he was an expert Lego builder and could build extensive sets in record times.

Josh was one of the kindest humans on this earth. He was companionate and caring. He would help anyone, he would give them the shirt off his back even if he only had the shirt on his back. Josh was honest, respectful and faithful. He believed in God above. Josh didn’t feel the importance of worldly possessions that society has focused on. He saw a bigger more important picture and meaning of life. He was a free spirit. Josh loved the sky, stargazing and looking at the moon, staying up late to watch meteor showers with his little brother James and sometimes mom and others.

Joshua was very excited about becoming a father. His daughter will be born in November 2022.
