Obituary for Joshua Lee Hudson

Former Alamosa resident and Loveland resident Joshua “Josh” Lee Hudson, 33, died September 23, 2018 in Douglas County, Colorado.

Josh was born October 29, 1984 in Alamosa, Colorado the only child of Michael J. Hudson and Crystal Stahlecker Hudson. Josh graduated from Alamosa High school and worked most recently delivering newspapers. Prior to this, he spent many years working at Hooper Pool in Mosca, as a lifeguard, and later being Red Cross Certified, teaching CPR and lifeguard certification classes. He enjoyed woodworking and concrete work and was a hard worker. He built his first house with the help of his father several years ago and was currently working on remodeling and rebuilding another house. Josh liked spending time in the mountains and had hiked several fourteeners over the years. He also enjoyed gaming and attended Comic Con several years. Josh was an avid Colorado Rockies Fan and was able to attend many games at Coors Field in Denver.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Crystal Hudson of Alamosa; his paternal grandparents Miles and Karola “Karol” Hudson of Alamosa; his maternal grandmother Doris Stahlecker of Gatesville, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Andy Stahlecker.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Cremation will follow with private services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley, 1115 10th Street, Alamosa, Colorado 81101.
