Obituary for Joaquin DuPont

Longtime Alamosa resident and Monte Vista native, Joaquin DuPont (Wax), passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019. He was born on September 29, 1981 to Sharon Lujan.

On September 25, 2010 he married the love of his life, Lisa DuPont. He became a loving stepfather to Janae and Antonio Rivera. On March 15, 2013 and November 7, 2014 respectably, they welcomed their two beautiful daughters Aubrey and Ayla; on February 25, 2018 their handsome son Aiden, who were the most important part of his life.

He was an accomplished electrician, loving father and husband. He valued his time with his family very much and on his free time he took the pleasure in coaching his daughters little league tee-ball, and basketball. Civilians will recognize him best as a talented softball player, an avid Rockies and Raiders fan, and the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with his friends by hunting and hanging out at the shop after work.

He is survived by his wife Lisa DuPont; children Janae, Antonio, Aubrey, Ayla and Aiden; his brother Anthony (Danelle) DuPont; and his nephew Jesus (Keisha) Garcia.

Joaquin is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Lujan; and his sister Josette Montoya.
