Some of Ida Marie's fondest memories were of her time growing up with her family in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She would come home from school in Deadwood to the smell of freshly baked donuts and Finnish flat bread. She carried that memory on by making them for her children. Big meals shared with family always remained a great pleasure for her. She leaves many pictures of Thanksgiving and Christmas food and those sitting around the table eating.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted to Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
