Obituary for Georgeann Aguilar
La Jara resident Georgeann Lorraine Aguilar, 68, was called to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.
Georgeann was born in La Jara, Colorado on December 6, 1951, the proud daughter of Pedro Aguilar and Desideria Valdez Aguilar.
Georgeann was a very loving, caring and special woman. Although she had a very quiet and gentle nature, her love was strong and unbreakable. She loved her children, her family, her friends and, of course, her cats. . She enjoyed time spent with all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and extended family. Georgeann found great peace and solace in the beauty of nature, especially the mountains. She treasured the special moments in her life which could never come often enough.
Finding peace with all closest to her heart meant her Earthly duties were finally done.
She will be greatly missed...
Georgeann is survived by her children Arthur (Olivia) Hernandez, Jr. of Riverton, WY, Anthony Hernandez of Riverton, WY and Angel (Tiger) Espinoza of Aztec, New Mexico; her grandchildren: Eddie Hernandez, Quay Leon Hernandez, Jianna Leon Hernandez, Caleesi Hernandez, Blaine Hernandez, Ashley Hernandez, Emilio Hernandez, Arianna Nevaeh Hernandez, Jerome Salazar, Jerel Salazar and Nikki Espinoza; her great-grandchildren Neveah Salazar and Nalah Salazar; her siblings: Connie (Dan) Romero of La Jara, CO, Irene Martinez of Alamosa, CO, Tony Aguilar, Cindy Romero of La Jara, CO and Veronica Romero of Utah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Cleo (Herman) Espinoza and Priscilla Aguilar, and her brother Manuel Barela.
Cremation was chosen and private family services will be held at a later date.
