Fred Thomas Penington Born September 18, 1931 passed away June 7, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Penington was born in Del Norte, Colorado to Neal Dow Penington and Albertina “Birdie” Kroschel Penington. He married Marcella “Marcie” Miller Penington on May 10, 1955, they had two sons Gary Thomas Penington of Durango, Colorado and Jerry Keith Penington of Mesa, Arizona. Fred has one granddaughter Amanda Jean Penington of Denver, Colorado.

Fred worked 39 years for the Fruit and Vegetable Inspection Service for the State of Colorado retiring as the State Supervisor. He and Marcie enjoyed traveling the country extensively after Fred’s retirement until health issues slowed them down and they chose Mesa, Arizona to live and established residence in 1992. Fred was a charter member of the Monte Vista Elks Lodge # 2456. He was preceded in death by his parents Neal and Birdie Penington and brother Lyle Edward Penington.

Graveside services will be held at the Monte Vista Cemetery on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
