Obituary for Evelyn Elaine Medina
Alamosa resident Evelyn Elaine Medina, 78, died June 5, 2021 at the Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.
Evelyn was born in Garcia, Colorado the daughter of Samuel Medina and Lupita DeHerrera Medina. She married Henry Arthur Vasquez on May 27, 1960.
Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and embroidery. In her earlier years she worked hard helping her husband as a logger and seeder. She was a loving and giving person and was always willing to lend an ear if someone needed to talk. In her spare time she loved to find arrowheads and worked on crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by her children Molly Vasquez Aguilar, Henrietta Kelly Guodace Vasquez and Benjy Vasquez; her siblings Dora and Bob Klinker, Diana and John Romanek and Bobby and Janette Medina; her grandsons Victor Aguilar, Jr., Christopher Guodace, Brandon and Kevin Guodace, Gage Vasquez, Jeannie Chantell Maes; as well as 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Kathy Arellano Vasquez, granddaughter Shaliah Guodace, grandson Anthony Aguilar; her siblings: Orlando Medina, Betty Medina Klinker, Georgiana Manzanarez Medina, Berlinda Velasquez Medina, Ludy Medina and baby boy medina; as well as her son-in-law Harry Kelly.
Cremation was chosen and private family services will be held at a later date.
