Former valley resident Ellen C. “Pat” Burton, 81, passed away on February 1, 2013 at the Hospice of St. John Facility in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born on May 17, 1931 to Thomas H. and Clara L. McAden. Pat married Lloyd O. Burton and worked as a book keeper for many years at the First National Bank in Alamosa.
She is survived by her daughter Crystal Mendon of Topeka, Kansas, four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren all of Kansas, her sister Nancy (Robert) Baker of Littleton, Colorado as well as three nieces from New Jersey and a niece and nephew from Colorado.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her parents-in-law.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the Alamosa cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Hospice Del Valle and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
