Obituary for Douglas Kent Rosacker

Alamosa, CO-

Longtime Alamosa resident, Douglas Kent “Doug” Rosacker, 79, passed away Monday, November 18 at home surrounded by his family. Doug was born to Cecil “Pete” and Ellen Rosacker on November 23, 1939 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. On the Fourth of July in 1959, Doug married the love of his life and best friend, Patricia. Together they had three children that immediately became the light of his life. He always enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. When Doug wasn’t watching his beloved Rockies or Broncos win games, he spent his free time in the outdoors fly fishing, hunting and camping.

Doug is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia; their children Rodney (Debra) Rosacker, Jeffrey (Janet) Rosacker, and Pam (Brian) Glynn; grandchildren Samantha Archuleta, Antoinette Rosacker, Amber Rosacker, Ashley Rosacker, and Shawna (Carlos) Glynn-Apodaca; along with a brother Lloyd “Pete Jr.” Rosacker.

Doug was proceeded in death by his parents Pete and Ellen Rosacker, in-laws Bill and Ann Moye and his grandson Randal Rosacker.

Services will be held on Monday November 25th at the First Christian Church of Alamosa at 10:30 am with interment at the Alamosa Cemetery following the service. There will be a viewing Sunday November 24th at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa from 4 -6 pm.
