Longtime Sanford resident Donna Deon Daniels, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday July 30, 2017. She was born on May 6, 1927 in Alamosa, Colorado to Lawrence and Nettie Valentine Morgan. She married James J. Daniels. Donna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings through her life with the Relief Society, Primary and the Scouts, just to name a few. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Donna is survived by her children, Lynn (Maureen) Daniels of South Carolina, Darlene Daniels of Sanford, Tim Daniels of San Marcos, California and Scarlett Klein of San Marcos, California, her grandchildren, Christine Marques, Phillip Daniels, Jaslynn Vesuvio, Desiree Maestas, Ashley Hemond and Morgan Daniels, her great grandchildren, Cienna Daniels, Landon Marques, Zane Marques, Jett Vesuvio, Elijah Best, Jude Vesuvio, Daniel Maestas and Evander Best, her siblings, Eldon Morgan of Alamosa, Illa Williams of Bountiful and Barbara Jean Atwood of Farmington, New Mexico as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband her brother Johnny Harold Morgan and her sister, Genevieve Davis.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 5, 2017 at the Sanford Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the church, prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow services in the Sanford Cemetery.
