Condolence: Seems like my family has know the Martin's forever. I can't remember if it all started in San Angelo or Santa Fe? My own memories are of meeting Virgina, Teresa and Marvin at the church in Santa Fe. Dad knew them from his dealing with Don with the Bureau. Dad loved Don so very much. My memories are of Don coming to Christ in that little Church in Chama. Dad I'm sure was the one blessed enough to raise him out of that submission. Same place so many of us found our love for Christ. Watching dad and Don was always a pleasure. Don made Dad feel at ease, dad would laugh and tell his stories around Don. Don being a true Texas was cut from the same cloth. He could hold his own but still held a true love and respect for dad. For that alone I love Don Martin. Until today I didn't realize there was eleven years difference in their ages. Another reason to love that Don. He is one great memory in a life full of memories. I can't help but think that Dad's watching Don greet all his family and friends. Just waiting his time to shake his hand and say, Welcome Brother!

Condolence: It saddens me to be writing in this guest book...Don was a great man; a wonderful example of a Christian. I remember when the Martin's moved into the house beside us in Edna; I was about 10 yrs old. I loved them all from the moment I met them. Don and Virginia treated me like family. Don even baptized me into Christ. Anyone who met him was blessed to have known him. To Virginia, Teresa and Marvin, I'm so very sorry for yours and your family's loss. Peace be with you.
