Obituary for Delbert Lee "Jack" Green

Longtime Alamosa resident Delbert “Jack” Green, 79, passed away under the care of Hospice on December 24, 2013 in Alamosa.
Jack was born on October 9, 1934 to Sylvester and Loretta (Gorzinsky) Green in Alamosa, Colorado. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. He met his future wife, Shizue Ohgi while in Japan. He worked as an electrician and operated Green Electric with his father and brother. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golf and watching the Broncos. Jack was a member of the American Legion and BPOE #1297 in Alamosa.
He is survived by his children; Eileen Green of Alamosa, Colorado, Linda (Fabian Jiron) Green of Alamosa, Colorado and Jackie Green of Los Angeles, California. His brother Ronald (Charlene) Green of Alamosa. Also his grandchildren Joshua Jiron, Christopher Jiron, Brendon Jiron, Aaron Nicodemus and Aimee Nicodemus.
Jack was preceded in death by his parent and his wife Shizue.
Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 4, 2014 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice Del Valle and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
