Obituary

Longtime Manassa resident Concepcion Ortega Cisneros, 80, died at her home in Manassa under hospice care and surrounded by her family on July 18, 2020.

Concepcion was born in Merced, California on June 9, 1940 the daughter of Yrinneo and Guadalupe (Ceja) Ortega. She married Luis A. Cisneros and they made their home in Manassa, CO.

She was an active member of the St. Joseph Parish, the Marian Helpers and the Legion of Mary and was a Lady of Fatima. In her spare time she enjoyed rosary making, reading, sewing and crocheting.

Concepcion is survived by her children Luis (Yolanda Chacon) Cisneros, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, Monica Cisneros of Hayward, CA, Veronica (Gilbert Martinez) Cisneros of Manassa, CO and Bernadette (Juan) Sifuentes of Colorado Springs, CO; her son-in-law Chris Cisneros of Alamosa; her grandchildren: John Torres, Jr. who she raised, Samuel Cisneros, Brandi Cisneros, Daniel Ceniceros and David Ceniceros; her great-grandchildren Angelina Torres, BrookLynn Torres, Payton Cisneros and S.J. Cisneros.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Ernest Ortega.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in La Jara at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 also at the Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in La Jara.
