Alamosa resident Christopher Luis Medina, 58, died April 16, 2021 at his home in Alamosa.

Christopher was born in Alamosa on June 2, 1962 to Luis B. Medina and Bernice Alice Prien.

He worked for more than 25 years as a Business Manager for Beck-Arnley automotive parts. He enjoyed working on cars and mechanics and riding motorcycles. Growing up, he enjoyed spending summers visiting cousins in Capulin and helping with chores on his Uncle Tiofilo’s farm. He also enjoyed being in the outdoors camping with his family and walking Abigail, his loyal dog. In his spare time he liked to work with wood and completed several woodworking projects. He always looked forward to driving around the countryside and seeing the sights with his wife Mary Ann and genuinely loved her cooking, especially her chicken enchiladas. Christopher always had a story to tell about his “Bigfoot” sighting.

He is survived by his father Luis Medina of Alamosa; his wife Mary Ann Arellano-Medina of Alamosa; his brothers and sisters Teresa (Michael) Sisneros of Albuquerque, NM, Ana (Steve) Vigil of Albuquerque, NM, Maria Angela Medina of Alamosa, Anthony (Leslie) Medina of Colorado Springs, Patrick (Marnie) Medina of Gunnison, CO, Louise (Frank) Cordova of Salida; his step-daughter Mary “Pinky” (Stacey) Martinez of Alamosa and step-son Josh Arellano of Alamosa; his grandchildren Isaiah and Sabrina Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Christopher is preceded in death by his grandmother Eva Prien and his mother Bernice Medina, his parents-in-law Joe and Gertie Madril of Alamosa.
