Obituary for Charles "Gordon" Mintle

Charles “Gordon” Mintle long time resident of Alamosa passed away in Monte Vista on July 13th 2014. He was 85.
Gordon was born in Lynnville, Iowa on December 11, 1928 to the late Phil and Adah (Biggs) Mintle. He received his education and later served in the U.S. Army.
Gordon married Diane Patricia Montroy on March 15th, 1985 in Alamosa, CO. He owned and operated Weiss Dry Cleaners in Alamosa until his retirement.
Gordon was a member of the Elks Lodge of Alamosa and the American Legion. He was a terrific dancer and loved to fix things, go fishing, ride his motor cycle and visit with friends.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandra L. Jackson of Albuquerque, NM two brothers, Gail and Don Mintle, and his good friend Nick Hobbs of Alamosa.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son Michael and his wife Diane.
At his request he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa.
