Obituary

Bryant Kyle Keck, of Sanford, Colorado was born on September 24, 1999. He died on September 17, 2019 in Kamloops, British Columbia after injuries from a car accident while serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is probably best known to the community as the tall gregarious blonde kid who worked for two years at the La Jara Subway before his mission. He touched many lives and his precious memory will live on in our hearts. He is survived by a large extended family, his parents, Robert and Kjerstina Keck, and siblings Kaycee, Royce and Bryce. He was predeceased in death by his seven year old brother Daniel in 2016. Surely they had a glorious reunion and are happy with the Lord. We love you, Bryant!

There will be a visitation beginning at 1:45pm on Friday, September 27th at the Sanford LDS church, with funeral services to follow at 2:30pm. Interment will follow services in the Sanford Cemetery.

Rogers Family Mortuary is in care of the arrangements. To leave online condolences, tributes and remarks for Bryant’s family, please visit www.RogersFunerals.com

Pure Joy
by Kirt Spencer
9/28/19

Smile in his countenance, a love for life
Endless energy, no room for strife
Ice cream on his face, it’ll keep
Whatever you sow, that you shall reap

Families are forever, message he shared
For life after death, truly was prepared
Happiness in his heart, love for Christ
His time on earth short, was sacrificed

A greater mission, a superior call
No task too large, no request too small
Smile on his face that went ear to ear
Compassion and love, easy to endear

No malice in his heart, no enemies noted
Genuine and humble, he never gloated
Etched in the mind, companions and friends
Confidence and knowledge, they long defend

Look on his face, one of pure joy
Subtle measures, he’d often deploy
His gentle nature diffused aspersions
His only goal, assisting conversions

His earthly tabernacle, finally at rest
Surviving souls, their lives been blessed
Pure joy, the message he left behind
Whether for one or for all mankind

Dear Brother and Sister Keck. I did not know Elder Keck, but I have been thinking of you and your family since reading about your dear son on the Church's website in the "newsroom" section. This morning I happened to come across an October 1974 General Conference talk by Elder LeGrand Richards entitled, "What After Death." Elder Richards and his wife lost two children, ages 3 1/2 and 16. I thought of you and your family after I read the talk. How blessed we are to know about Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation and Eternal Families. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Sincerely, Sister Smith.

I did not know Elder Keck, but we live in the Vancouver mission (in Salmon Arm). Your family has been in our prayers for over a week now and we will continue. May you have love and comfort in your grief. Thank you for lending your son to the people of B.C. 💗 - Jennifer Henrie
