Betty Delphine Aschenbrenner passed away on December 12, 2021 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa, Colorado. Betty was born June 27, 1930 to Julius and Jennie Van Hoy Barth in Olivet, South Dakota. She married Reuben Aschenbrenner, and together they raised 4 children in Denver, Colorado.

Betty’s faith was an important part of her life, and she attended River of Life Church until she was unable to get out anymore. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, took great pride in keeping her home and yard beautiful and liked sewing and crafts.

She is survived by her four children, Laurie Swanson of Hastings, Nebraska, Van (Melanie) Aschenbrenner of Edgar, Nebraska, Liz (Lyle) Hood of Alamosa and Bill Aschenbrenner of Alamosa as well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben, her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Harley and Genevieve Krull.
