Obituary for Andrew A. "Andy" Romero
La Jara resident Andrew “Andy” A. Romero, 32, died at his home in La Jara on May 30, 2022.
Andy’s life began in La Jara, Colorado on February 9, 1990, the proud son of Alan and Cindy (Espinoza) Romero.
Andy worked selling his art and firewood and loved being in the mountains. He had an artistic talent and enjoyed crafts, wood carving and drawing. He enjoyed making others laugh and being around family. He loved his daughter, loved spending time with her and he enjoyed making her gifts from his art work. He was so full of life that he filled a room with brightness and personality.
He is survived by his parents Alan and Cindy of La Jara, CO; his daughter Anaiya Romero of La Jara; his siblings Sandra (Lawrence Rivera) Romero of Alamosa, CO, Victoria (David Hernandez) Romero of La Jara, CO, Mario Romero, Celina Lavadour, and Alana Romero, all of La Jara, CO; his nieces who were like sisters to Andy: Sheila Lavadour of La Jara, CO, Tona Lavadour of Fort Collins, CO, and Ryann Romero of La Jara; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Andy is preceded in death by his grandparents Efrem Romero and Celina Romero, Herman Espinoza and Cleo Espinoza; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.
