Obituary for Alice Alaine White

Alice was born in Leadville, CO, on June 24, 1941, to Delmar J. Brock and Cora LaVergn Hibbs. The silver thread and golden bowl holding her to this earth were broken on January 28th. She was absolutely devoted to her family and Christ Jesus. She loved deeply and with abandon.

Alice worked as convenience store clerk for many years. She never met a stranger, all who met her were instantly drawn to her kind and loving spirit.

Above all, she enjoyed love and laughter with family and friends. She lived her life by the promises of God.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth W. Esser, both her father and mother, brother Joseph Estes and sister Linda L. Webb.

She is survived by daughters Theresa (Cliff) Edwards of Monte Vista, Rebecca (Bill) Kolb of Monte Vista, Anna White of Del Norte, honorary daughter Mary (Donn) Vigil of Monte Vista, as well as grandchildren Shannon Hensley, Shelby Richardson, Helen Ross, Kate Larsen, Linda Kolb, Alice Nye, and honorary grandson Kris Vigil. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as sisters Helen Wetmore of Montrose, CO, and Roxanne Norvell of Tennessee.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
