Obituary for Marion Ann Youngman (Durheim)

Marion Ann Youngman, age 93, Alamosa, passed away April 9th, 2020 after suffering a stroke.
Marion was the youngest of six children born to Otto and Mary Durheim of Ellendale, North Dakota on October 19th, 1926.

She attended high school and college in Ellendale. After teaching school for a year, she married Ralph Youngman. The family moved to Alexandria, South Dakota where she was the business manager for the Hanson County School District for 28 years.

Marion and Ralph retired and moved to Canon City, CO. They lived in Canon City for 19 years. In 2006 Marion moved to Alamosa.

Marion loved music, especially the old hymns and organ music. She spent many hours gardening. Marion could bake the most awesome rhubarb pie and her family will miss the feisty, determined woman she was.
She is survived by her daughter Rita (Mario) Curto, Alamosa, son Gregory (Judith) of Pawley’s Island, SC; grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Maestas of Tualatin, OR, John (Robbie) Curto, Alamosa, Amy Zahn, Sioux Falls, SD, Judd (Dara) Youngman, Ashton, Virginia, Josh Youngman of Phoenix, AZ and Nicholas, (Mary) Youngman of New York City; eight great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, all of her brothers and sisters, one grandson, Adam Youngman and good friend, Ron Wilson.
