Obituary for Ina Rose Davis
Ina Davis, 93, passed away at the Rio Grande Inn Nursing Home in La Jara, Colorado on December 2, 2019. She was born in Hail Center, Texas on December 31, 1925 to Jim and Mary Fort.
Ina grew up in Fence Lake, NM, where she graduated from high school. Later in life she met her husband Albert Davis and they were joined in marriage on April 11, 1945. They ran a dairy in Bosque Farms, New Mexico, they homesteaded in Idaho; In 1958 they settled in La Jara where they raised their family.
Ina enjoyed helping work the family farm and ranch for many years, she always made sure “The Crew” was well fed. Ina enjoyed having her kids and grandkids through the house all the time. Ina took great pleasure in her yard and flower bed. She was always working in it to make it look beautiful.
She is preceded in death by her folks, her husband Al Davis and her brother James Fort. She is survived by her sons Kenneth (Sue) Davis, Tom (Myrt) Davis, Jerry (Rita) Davis; grandkids Shan (Carmen) Davis, Fran (Christine) Davis, Kit (Skip) Hunter, Misti (Ron) Lorentzen; great-grandkids Kade, Zayne, Owen, Mason, Selina, Schafawn, Dalton, Trina, and Sidney; great-great-grandkids Cailix, Madilynn, and Pepper.
The family has chosen cremation and a graveside service will be announced at a later date.
