Don Lounsbury passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday October 14th at the Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte, Colorado. Don Was a loving and devoted husband to Rosemary and great father Mark (Gigi) and Leanne (Louie). He served in the US Army from April of 1956 to February 1958. He spent 45 years dedicated to the Monte Vista Volunteer Fire Department, 15 of which he proudly served as Fire Chief. He always enjoyed his time with his fellow firemen. He was also an avid jeeper and dirt bike rider.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary along with his son Mark, daughter Leanne, daughter in law Gigi and son in law Louie.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond and Mother Arlene.

Cremation was chosen, and in honor of Don’s wishes there will be no service. Memorial contributions may be to the Monte Vista Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 187, Monte Vista, Colorado 81144.
