Alamosa resident Dennin Sean Vandeleur, 24, died October 22, 2013 near Alamosa.

Dennin was born in Durango, Colorado on April 15, 1989 to Christopher Vandaleur and Rochelle (Boyce) Smith.

He worked for the past few months for Agri Pipe. Dennin was a very unique person that saw the beauty in everyone and everything. His dream was to live in a world full of peace.

In his spare time, Dennin enjoyed hiking and hanging out with his friends and family, especially his fiancée Erin and step-daughter Marlie. He was a very gifted and self taught guitarist and song writer. Dennin also liked to scour the countryside in search of arrowheads and enjoyed knapping arrowheads.

He had a great sense of humor and was very funny. Dennin will be remembered as a quick learner who loved to work.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Dennin is survived by his father Chris Vandeleur of Ignacio; his brother Wyatt Gardner of Welden, CO; his fiancée Erin Gabel of Alamosa and their child on the way who he affectionately referred to as “his June Bug” as it is due in June of next year; his step-daughter Marlie Gabel of Alamosa; his maternal grandmother Dorothy VanTreese of Alamosa; his paternal grandfather John Vandeleur of Illinois; his aunt Ada (Robert Davis) Boyce of Alamosa; uncle Scott (Mary) Boyce; cousins: Lane (Kelsie), Alyssa (Angelo), Delia, Hawkins, Tristan; great-cousins: Jeremiah, Julianna, Danny; his father and mother-in-law Lynn and Liz Hensley; and his sister and brothers-in-law Sammie, Chelsie and Alan.

His mother Rochelle “Roch” Smith; maternal grandfather Alvie Boyce, his paternal grandmother Margaret Vandeleur and his cousin Dominic Hidalgo, Jr. all preceded him in death.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Living Water Bible Fellowship, 2910 Clark Street in Alamosa. A gathering will follow services at the home of his grandmother Dorothy, 307 West Avenue in Alamosa. Contributions to help defer expenses may be made to the Ignacio Community Church, P.O.
