Obituary for Patrick Colvin

Alamosa resident Patrick Morris Colvin, 76, passed away on November 1, 2017. He was born on March 23, 1941 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Robert and Mary Colvin. He married Hazel Kendrick on April 14th, 1961 in Golden, Colorado. He was a longtime rancher and general contractor. For a time in his life he drove a tow truck in Monument before his family moved to the valley in 1973. Patrick enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids.

He is survived by his children, Bill (Rhonda) Colvin of Farmville, Virginia, Alan (Carol) Colvin of Alamosa, and Penny (Bill) Garren of Wellington, Colorado, as well as his grandchildren, Craig (Amanda) Colvin, Athena (Steven) Easter, Danielle (Edwin) Mondragon, Brady (Brooke) Colvin, Tony (Katherine) DiCamillo, Alexis DiCamillo, Ashley Garren, and William Garren as well as 14 great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Colvin and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brothers, James Colvin and Vic Colvin as well as his sister Freida Claybal.

Cremation was selected and a Celebration of life gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 11, 2017 at the Colvin Ranch in Alamosa. Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimers Association and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
