La Jara resident Edmund Junior Weathers, 82, passed away on January 20, 2017. He was born on December 10, 1934 in McAlister, Oklahoma to Johnny Ray Weathers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was very crafty and could build anything. He loved taking trips to Alaska and got great enjoyment from his pugs.

Edmund is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years Delphia Weathers of La Jara, his children, William Edmund Weathers and Beverly Jeanette Vanderelst, his grandchildren, Ambrosia, Joshua, Tyson, William “Billy”, Jennifer and Stormie, as well as his great grandchildren, Kylee, Kinzee, Dakota, Cheyenne and Kenzie, his brother Jessie Weathers and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, Candy Weathers and 4 siblings.
